Maui Mauka Conservation Awareness aims to Connect Conservation Professionals with Tourism Professionals to increase the quality of nature interpretation and the level of awareness of Hawaiʻi’s unique natural resources. These trainings focus on watersheds, native plants and animals, and invasive species. Presentations are simple, educational, fact-based and are taught by members of conservation organizations. Presenters are from East Maui Watershed Partnership, Maui Invasive Species Committee, Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project, and West Maui Kumuwai.
Each training provides:
Facts and stories about Maui’s unique natural environment
A guest speaker who is an expert in their field.
Take home sheets and guides to effectively communicate the wonders of Maui
An opportunity to learn the most current information from professionals in their field
Take home goodies include stickers, guide sheets, coffee mugs, and more!
