Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

In partnership with Alu Like, Malama Kaua`i is hosting paid agriculture interns on the Community Farm afterschool and on weekends. Learn about agriculture, agroforestry, farming & more while gaining work experience and earning some extra cash! This program is currently available, but may end on March 19th.

To be eligible for the program, youth must:

  • Be within the ages 15 to 24
  • Meet family income criteria (If the youth is 18 yrs old, we don’t need to have the parent’s income information, only theirs. Income eligibility still applies to them.)
  • Be a new employee and have not received employment services from Alu Like before.
  • Be of Native Hawaiian, Native American Indian or Alaska Native (Verified by birth certificate or OHA registry card or Tribal Card).

To be hired, you will need to provide:

  • Birth Certificate w/ ethnicity on it OR OHA registry card OR Tribal card.
  • School ID, Permit or Driver’s License.
  • Social Security Card.
