This 9 week program meets each Wednedsday starting June 5th - July 31st from 11:30-1:30

Keiki Garden club will allow keiki to immerse themselves at Keiki and Plow through play based learning, nature crafts, hands on activities and first hand experience learning how to malama 'aina through sustainable agriculture.

Throughout this curriculum children will experience place based learning starting with Native Hawaiian species and how they arrived on our islands. We will discover topics like soil health, make and tend to compost bins and discover how this sustainable system feeds our soil for successful planting. Keiki will have the opportunity to interact with beneficial insects, identify pests and learn how to organically manage them. Throughout the program keiki will be planting, nurturing and harvesting their own garden. The final class will end with a keiki made potluck sharing simple recipes with the produce grown throughout the 9 weeks. This final celebration will invite the ohana of each participant to join as one community around the table.
