Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR), performing project tasks on land controlled by the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG), Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Cultural Resources Section at Schofield Barracks located on the island of Oahu, Hawai‘i.  Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. 

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:  $2,372-$4,204/Mon. 

DUTIES:  Performs moderately complex clerical and administrative duties with moderate supervision.  Coordinates, tracks, and reports data, completes projects, and supports the effective operation of the Oahu Army Cultural Resources Management (OACRM) Program. Liaises and facilitates immediate compliance with DPW and base security requirements.  Conducts in-processing of new hires and out-processing of resignations. Maintains employee emergency contact information. Assists and facilitates the preparation and editing of reports. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment and conducts inventory.  Prepares proposed and finalized monthly schedule for partner agencies and participating individuals.  Maintains required safety and employment boards.  Submits DPW work orders and service requests. Ensures vehicles are maintained according to base and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Schedules maintenance, repairs, and safety checks and inspects vehicles for damages and log reported damages.  Establishes and maintains files, reports, and other hardcopy documents of computerized information related to program operations. Prepares fiscal documents for processing.  Assists in operations, coordination, and day-to-day monitoring of field operations by facilitating communication program-wide.  Serves as Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO). 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/TRAINING:  Associate’s Degree from an accredited community college.  EXPERIENCE:  One to three (1-3) years of experience in office management. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS:  Knowledge of office/business management.  Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.  Knowledge of travel/lodging planning and scheduling. Basic knowledge of facilities management and personnel logistics. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements. Strong oral and written communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and completing priorities.  Ability to work effectively as part of a team.  Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.  Attention to detail. Must be an excellent communicator in writing and orally.  Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet computer applications in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).  Proficient in internet usage.  Ability to use calculators. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain throughout the duration of employment. Must be able to drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle with manual transmission. Post Offer/Employment Condition:  Must be able to pass a Department of Defense (DoD) security check for employment as an Army contractor.  Must possess U.S. Army Environmental Compliance Officer certification (Army’s Environmental Compliance rules/procedures, conduct inspections, and able to write up reports and train staff) or obtain certification following the training within six (6) months of hire, and maintain throughout duration of employment.  Must possess the American Red Cross Certification in First Aid/CPR (or be able to obtain and maintain the certificate following the training provided within twelve (12) months from date of hire and maintain throughout duration of employment). PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Able to lift and carry up to fifteen (15) pounds unassisted.POLICY AND/OR REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:  As a condition of employment, employee will be subject to all applicable RCUH policies and procedures and, as applicable, subject to University of Hawai‘i's and/or business entity's policies and procedures.  Violation of RCUH's, UH's, or business entity's policies and/or procedures or applicable State or Federal laws and/or regulations may lead to disciplinary action (including, but not limited to possible termination of employment, personal fines, civil and/or criminal penalties, etc.). 

SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS:  Familiar with Windows based software and database applications.  Completion of training courses in office administration or computers.
