Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

We are now accepting applications/resumes for a full-time Conservation Biologist to manage all aspects of the National Tropical Botanical Garden’s role in supporting the Hawaii Strategy for Plant Conservation. Qualifications include a Master’s degree or advanced degree in biological sciences, a strong publication record and at least three years of plant conservation experience – preferably in Hawaii preferred. Knowledge of ecological principles and experience with Hawaiian vascular plant identification is important. Excellent written and oral communication skills, managerial experience, computer competence, and successful grant writing are required. The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to build and lead a collaborative team, composed of staff from the Departments of Science and Conservation, Horticulture and Living Collections, Limahuli Garden and Preserve, and Information Technology to fulfill NTBG’s role in the HSPC.
