MKFRP is restoring the high-elevation dry forest essential to the survival the endangered forest bird palila. We rely on volunteers to restore our Pu’u Mali Restoration Area (5,140 acres) on the northern slope and Ka’ohe Restoration Area (1,400 acres) is on the southwestern slope of Mauna Kea.
