The Nāpu`u Conservation Project helps with the stewardship of state lands in North Kona within the ahupua`a of Pu`uwa`awa`a and Pu`uanahulu. Located on the northern slope of Hualālai on Hawai`i Island, these lands encompass over 104,000 acres of tropical dry and mixed mesic forest.
