Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Description of Event Hui O Ka Wai Ola, a partnership between three non-profit organizations on Maui, Hawaii, has trained 40 volunteers to use methods that directly match the Hawaii Department of Health program. The group has taken over 600 discrete samples at 48 sites, providing the most comprehensive picture of water quality in Maui to date, motivating community activism and catalyzing large-scale restoration efforts in the adjoining watersheds.

We need dedicated volunteers willing to commit to sampling sites every three weeks at 7a in south and west Maui.  A minimum committment of one year would be preferred.

We are also interested in volunteers with expertise in communications, grant writing, data management or education to help build our team.  See for more details.
