He`eia Stream Restoration Project: This project, started in 2010, aims to restore about 4000ft of riparian habitat in upper He'eia Stream. In addition to reforesting with native vegetation, the project includes installation of erosion control techniques to address eroding stream banks, and monitoring water quality pre and post project implementation and educational workshops.
Volunteers will be involved in clearing invasive plant species from the stream area using handsaws and small hand tools and hand pulling small weeds as well as planting native species, maintaining trails within the project and hauling and spreading mulch to suppress weed growth.
Work days are held the 3rd Saturday of every month and will meet at the following location, http://goo.gl/maps/bkHNf

No December workday at this project.
Participants of all ages are welcome to attend this project.
Participants under age 16 must have adult supervision.
Participants under the age of 18, attending without their parent or legal guardian must bring the signed waiver.
Our community work days and volunteer events happen rain or shine! In the rare event that we would need to cancel a workday due to unsafe weather conditions, we will update our Facebook page for event status no later than one hour prior to scheduled start.”
