Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Join the Malama Learning Center as we strive to heal the land by regenerating native and edible forests in the southern Wai'anae Mountains through our new program initiative, Ola Na Kini. We will be hosting monthly workdays that span mauka to makai every second Saturday of the month rotating between 3 sites in Leeward O'ahu (Piliokahe Coastline, Nanakuli Wetland, and Palehua). Come and join us!

Volunteers are needed to help us remove invasive species, outplant native Hawaiian plants, care for plants by watering and weeding, and picking up litter/marine debris at coastal sites. Individuals and groups are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Malama Learning Center will provide tools, guidance, and light refreshments. Volunteer should wear comfortable work cloths, covered shoes, sun protection, and bring a reusable water bottle.
