Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

The Pūlama Kuamoʻo Mentorship Program is working with Papahana Kuaola to host a Haʻikū Stream Restoration Day!  

You and your ʻohana are invited to join us on Saturday, July 15th from 8:30am to 12:30pm to restore the upper reaches of Haʻikū stream with native plants that once adorned its bank!  Restoration tasks include native plant propagation, planting, removal of invasive species, weeding, and mulching.  

Wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with conservation professionals in preparation for the Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference 2017.  

What to bring:

  • Positive energy
  • Water bottle and sack lunch
  • Mosquito repellant
  • Outdoor work and swim clothes 
  • Hiking shoes, tabis, or slippers
  • Sun protection
  • Sunscreen (zinc oxide is best), hat, sunglasses
  • Change of clothes and towel
  • Rain jacket/poncho (in case of rainy weather)
