Meet at Waimea Valley Botanical Office at 9am

What:  

We shall be driving and hiking up onto Kalaheʻe Ridge to plant native plants and remove invasive species.

** We shall provide necessary tools.

 

How Many:

We are looking for up to 20 people for each date (ages 12 and up).

Please call or RSVP as soon as you can commit to the date(s).  Please specify the date.

It is an easy to moderate hike up to the site (45 minutes) while the ATV carries some people and all of the tools, plants, and equipment.

 

What to bring:

                Water (at least 2 liters) (REQUIRED)

                Lunch

   Gloves

                Rain gear (in you have)

                Insect repellent (just for the hike or ride up)

                Close toed Shoes (REQUIRED)

                Sun screen

                Hat

                Long pants

                Long sleeved shirt

                A Positive Attitude!

 

Terrain:

                The terrain is easy to moderate for Kalahe`e Ridge.  

                ** There is very little shade on the ridge and it can get quite hot!!
