Sunday, April 21, 2024 to April 27, 2024 from 9:30am - 2:00pm
Oʻahu, HI
Pre-register for a volunteer slot and then check out our fundraising options!
April 21st, 9:30 AM - 12 PM (Check-in begins at 9 AM)
Begin the week at (Beach TBD), where we will sift microplastics from the sand, clean up a stream channel, and learn about plastic pollution and solutions for the future.
April 23rd, 9 AM - 12 PM (Check-in begins at 9 AM)
Spend a morning at GoFarm Hawai‘i learning about farmer training programs, how to grow your own food, and why this matters for a future of healthy coastlines. Organic farming means less chemicals that are moving downstream and into our soil.
April 25th, 9 AM - 12 PM (Check-in begins at 9 AM)
Join us for a one-of-a-kind compost tour, where we’ll dive deeper into the importance of soil health. We’ll also clear a stream channel of invasives and discuss the importance of this in the context of “everyone has a coastline.”
April 27th, 10 AM - 2 PM (Check-in begins at 10 AM)
Finish our Earth Week with our last Saturday workday at the Nation of Hawai‘i, where we’ll help restore lo‘i and remove invasive plants at the top of the ahupua‘a. We’ll be brought into an understanding of a vision of sovereignty focussed on care for ‘āina and wrap our week looking over the beautiful ahupua‘a of Waimānalo where we spent our week.
