Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Join us for ʻohana workdays at the Kapahu Living Farm in Kīpahulu, East Mauʻi, usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month. ʻOhana, community members, and visitors of all ages are welcomed! Come prepared to get muddy! Bring water and snacks, sun protection, hand tools, weed eaters, dry change of clothes, and something to share for lunch. Tasks may include weeding in the taro patch and ʻauwai, weed eating banks, preparing new patches, planting huli, and harvesting.

Kapahu Living Farm is located in the Kīpahulu section of Haleakalā National Park on the mauka dirt road, Hāna side of Oheʻo Stream bridge. A sign will be posted. The road is somewhat rough, so if your vehicle has low clearance, please contact us ahead of time and we can arrange for someone to meet you at the bottom of the road where you can park. If you need better directions or more information, call the Triangle/Kitchen at (808) 248-4411, or email ohana@kipahulu.org.
