Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

We will be transplanting native ferns throughout a mesic forest in Pahole natural area reserve on the Waiʻanae mountain range.  This is a moderate to advanced hike and will take between 1-2hrs to hike to the site depending on the ability of the group.  This is a great alternative to pulling weeds and to transplant natives near the spectacular Makua valley rim.  Meeting place will be at Waialua district park.
