Wildest Show In Town Concert Volunteers

The Wildest Show in Town summer concert at the Honolulu Zoo is coming back on Wednesday, June 8th and I'm recruiting volunteers to make this a great summer series! Raiatea Helm will kick off the summer concert series on June 8th and the last concert will be held on August 10th with a special surprise guest!

We need volunteer support for the following tasks:

Admission Support - We need approximately 8 volunteers to help staff a table at the Front Entrance (4) and Gate #6 Entrance (4) at Monsarrat Ave. to assist in collecting the $3.00 per person admission fee. Duties include: making change for guests (keeping large bills separate and the cash box organized) and distribute concert flyers and encourage guests to participate in the pre-concert activities. Best for outgoing individuals who can calculate simple math on the fly and enjoy delivering great customer service! Commitment: 10 Wednesdays from June 8 - August 10, 4:00-6:45pm. (One Zoo security officer will also be assigned to each gate).

Ukulele Drawing/Sponsorship Tent - We need approximately 3 volunteers to assist the concert attendees, adult & keiki, with entering drawings for ukulele giveaways. At a designated time, deliver the entry boxes to the Stage for emcee Roy Sakuma to draw winning names. As requested, provide support to entertainers who may wish to sell their CD's before, during and after their performance. Assist with the set up and break down of the station. Best for outgoing and flexible individuals, able to carry bulky items quickly through crowds to Stage.Commitment: 10 Wednesdays from June 8 - August 10, 4:00-7:00pm.

Keiki Coloring Contest - We need approximately 2 volunteers to support this popular coloring station for the 2-12 year old set that features different animals each week. Assist to determine "winners" in each of the categories. Deliver winner's names & artwork to emcee Roy Sakuma at the Stage at 5:50pm and be available to support the distribution of prizes. Best for outgoing individuals who are artistic, creative and love to encourage children! Commitment: 10 Wednesdays, June 8 - August 10, 4:00-6:30pm.
