808 Cleanups

Makai Research Pier, Waimanalo.
Underwater Cleanup: Snorkelers and scuba divers welcome to remove fishing line off coral reefs as well as any ocean plastics floating around. Participants for the underwater cleanup must be able to swim. 2) Beach cleanup: Litter and illegal dumping will be removed in the area near the pier. No swimming skills needed for the beach cleanup.
WHAT WE SUPPLY: All cleanup supplies and tools. Please bring your own snorkeling and/or scuba gear if participating in the underwater cleanup. We have a limited number of snorkeling masks and fins to share, first come first served.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Plenty of water and sun protection. Recommended: Sturdy, closed shoes. Please bring your own snorkeling and/or scuba gear if participating in the underwater cleanup. We have a limited number of snorkeling masks and fins to share, first come first served.
SCHOOL/SERVICE HOURS: We DO sign your hours- must arrive PROMPTLY and work DILIGENTLY during entire two hours to receive full credit.
ADOPT A SITE Support: After the cleanup, you'll have the opportunity to get oriented in our Adopt a Site program. We'll discuss how to get involved, areas that need help, and you'll receive supplies to get you started right then and there!
