Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

The morning's activities will include:
• Opening Circle: Meet fellow community members and visitors and set intentions for the morning.
• Park and Bay Tour: Learn about Kahalu‘u’s rich history and how you can help protect the bay’s vibrant, delicate ecosystem.
• Beach Cleanup: Bring the ‘ohana and help us pick up litter and microplastics to keep the bay and beach clean.
• Sunscreen Drop and Swap: Protect Hawai‘i’s coral reefs and marine life! Drop off your chemical-based sunscreens and we’ll dispose of them for you properly. Get a free sample of reef-friendly, mineral-based sunscreen to try out or take home (while supplies last).

Meet at the Kahalu‘u Bay Education Center tents in Kahalu‘u Beach Park by 8:30 a.m. We will provide gloves, buckets, bags, and tools for picking up litter. Please bring your preferred beverage in a reusable container, reef-friendly sun protection (hats, rashguards, mineral-based sunscreens, etc.), and beach and snorkel gear to enjoy the bay!
