Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Come and learn about our native gardens while helping to maintain it - if you are interested in learning more about native plants, where they grow best, and how they were traditionally used, come and join us at Mānoa Heritage Center!  RSVP is REQUIRED to participate as space is limited to 20 volunteers.   

Please park in the grass stalls or around perimeter of new circular driveway at 2856 O‘ahu Avenue and check-in in office (next to Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Visitor Education Hale)

  • Garden work may include mulching, trimming, weeding, watering, harvesting, or clearing dead leaves and debris
  • Please come dressed and ready to work in a garden environment in a variety of conditions - from hot sun to rain
  • Please bring water, sunscreen and a hat.  
  • Students welcome, but under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
