Do you thrive in the pursuit of ensuring excellence in environmental consulting services for your clients? SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team and looking for a dynamic individual who is following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work. Your role will be to lead predator trapping activities at wind energy facilities on Hawaii’s Big Island. You would work approximately one hour each day, totaling 5-7 hours per week. Conduct live trapping of cats and mongooses at one or more wind energy generation facilities on the Big Island. Check and re-set a series of traps daily, Monday through Friday. Record data on field site forms or other forms. B.A. or B.S. in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field is desired, but not required Knowledge of predator live-trapping techniques and humane dispatch techniques for mongoose Minimum of 1-year of experience in related fieldwork required Access to truck or vehicle that can carry large and often bulky items Ability to work independently Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required SWCA Environmental Consultants is a growing employee-owned firm, providing a full-spectrum of environmental services.
