Our small company focuses on Mālama ʻāina by engaging in reforestation efforts on
conservation lands and sharing valuable aloha ʻāina principals with others. We have an
excellent reputation for high quality tours and are currently seeking to expand our team.

Position Summary:

The Guide is responsible for safely leading groups on educational nature tours (hiking, off-

road, biking) in remote areas of Oʻahu. Enjoy working in restricted conservation lands

while providing exclusive outdoor experiences to both visitors & kamaʻāina. No prior eco-
tour experience is necessary - we will train the right candidate.

Position Requirements:
• Current Hawaiʻi driverʻs license
• Clean driving abstract (produced upon hire)
• First aid & CPR certified (training provided upon hire)
• Physically fit: ability to lift/carry 25lbs., negotiate mountain terrain & stream
crossings, function in rain, sun, & outdoor elements.
• Professional: must be outgoing, excellent with people, good communicator,
reliable, dependable, trustworthy, & responsible.
• Available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and/or Saturdays with occasional Sundays.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of Hawaiian flora & fauna, culture, and history.
• Familiarity with ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.
• Experienced hiker and/or off-roader
• Ability to safely drive 4wd vehicles & ride mountain bikes.

Desirable Qualifications:
• Degree in Hawaiian Studies, botany, and/or other related field or equivalent level
of cultural experience with traditional Hawaiian arts, e.g. hula, lāʻau lapaʻau, etc.
• Conversationally fluent in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi or Japanese language.
• Ability to drive manual transmission (stick shift).
• Possess exceptional outdoor skills & ability (as demonstrated through professional
experience or participation in outdoor programs)
