PROJECT INFORMATION:
In partnership with the Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry’s Citizen Forester program and the U.S. Forest Service, this 21st Century Conservation Corps project will span 6 months during which this team of 3 young adults will aim to inventory at least 2600 trees in their target areas. This small team of young adults will be trained to inventory trees in a selected Honolulu district using the USFS’s iTree Tree Plotter system. Tree Plotter plots trees on a map overlay while pulling valuation data like monetary value, stormwater runoff, property value, energy conservation, air quality, and carbon from the connected i-Tree system. i-Tree is a USFS research product for ground application.
