Duties |
The Research Assistant will assist in carrying out a nesting success study of the endangered, Hawaiian Stilt by conducting observational surveys of nesting Hawaiian Stilts at various wetlands throughout the island of O‘ahu. Initial duties include (but are not limited to) conducting literature reviews; identifying, collecting, and organizing nesting and habitat data; setting up and maintaining nest cameras to identify potential causes of nest failure. The Research Assistant is expected to perform other additional tasks as assigned. Additional duties may include working with project volunteers and collaborating and working with other researchers in an interdisciplinary environment. |
