Qualifications

One college science course. 
Attention to detail. 
Enjoy working outside and getting dirty. 
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. 
Dependable. 
Irrigation or plumbing experience. 
Desirable Qualifications: 
Have hands-on experience working on a farm, landscaping or nursery. 
Have hands-on experience gardening or working with plants. 
Once trainer, able to work independently.
Able to work with other students.
 

Duties

Many hours will be spent outdoors: 
Help maintain outdoor garden and research plots, care for plants, create and fix irrigation. 
Help prepare botany and horticulture labs, be able to learn how to prepare basic chemical solutions, 
operate scientific equipment, collect plant material, help with research and grant outreach projects.
Have major role in working with other students on campus doing outreach related to the gardens and 
horticulture/agriculture classes.
