For Community:

Come learn how to better manage your yard and property at this free community workshop by learning about Green Infrastructure techniques such as how to install rain catchment, permeable pavement, and rain gardens! Join us for information, training, and giveaways!

The workshop will train contractors and community members how to reduce flooding and runoff from their property, and connect interested homeowners with contractors.

For Contractors:

Mālama Maunalua has received over 200 project inquiries from property owners who are interested in installing rainwater catchment, rain gardens or permeable pavement. Mālama Maunalua is hosting mini-workshops on how to install these systems at an upcoming FREE Smart Yards event on 12/2 from 9-1pm at Niu Valley Middle School. The workshops are only 30 minutes each so you can drop in for some or all of the morning to learn more about these practices and get connected with potential clients. Other perks for attending the workshop include MM helping to advertise your company and link you to potential clients for future green stormwater infrastructure projects.

It will be a great way to learn more about runoff reduction, and solicit business from the community.
