Hosted by Ka ‘Ahahui ‘O Ka Nāhelehele. Given the dire consequences of climate change and invasive species on the planet’s ecosystems, the theme for this year’s symposium is “A Call to Action: Towards Valued and Flourishing Dry Forest Ecosystems." This year is the 14th Nāhelehele Dry Forest Symposium. Featuring presentations by Hawaiian cultural experts, scientists, restoration managers, and forest stewards.
Check-in begins at 7:45 am with opening protocol commencing at 8:30am. Hannah Kihalani Springer will provide the keynote address, and a series of exciting presentations will follow. The symposium will include talks, a Restoration Managers Q&A Panel, and shorter spotlight sessions.
