Science Advocacy- The Role of Scientists in Messaging
The Talk Story will be utilizing the Library Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Kewalo Marine Laboratory on May 22nd, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Both the Society of Conservation Biology Hawaiʻi Chapter and the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance are putting the event together as co-hosts. There will be a brief introductory talk followed by a group activity for participants to be involved in conversation about the roles that occupational scientists have in conservation advocacy.

Most participants will be asked to find their own parking for the event however we plan on utilizing a few of the parking spots within the lot for invited guests. Please indicate in the RSVP form if you require a stall in the parking lot. Afterwards, a quick pau hana (potluck style) will be held outside of the laboratory on the picnic tables in the adjacent Kakaʻako Waterfront Park.
