Hōʻike o Haleakalā Summer Teacher Workshop

Maui Invasive Species Committee (MISC) is hosting a 2 day workshop on a Hawaiʻi Based Curriculum, Hōʻike o Haleakalā at their offices up Piiholo Road in Makawao.

Friday, June 28th: Classroom Presentations
On this day we will go over the curriculum, present four lessons from the curriculum and have presentations from science experts on the subject matter being presented. Lunch is provided in the workshop fee.

Saturday, June 29th: Hike
The next day go on a hike into The Nature Conservancy's Waikamoi Preserve Boardwalk to see an intact native forest and see endemic honeycreepers. The hike is 3mi on uneven terrain at high elevation. (hike not mandatory)
