Saturday, June 29 | 8 – 10:30 a.m.
La‘i‘Ōpua Dryland Forest
Kailua-Kona, HI

A Mālama Moai® is a small group of people who get together monthly for 10 months to connect with their purpose to support the restoration of the dryland forest preserve. This group will meet on the 4th Saturday of every month to steward the dryland forest. Volunteer work includes: plant taxonomy, removing invasive species, planting native plants, and any other needs.

The intention for this 4-acre area is to rehabilitate the dryland forest and create a community park. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in restoration and learn about the beautiful species that comprise this rare ecosystem.
