Join us at Impact Hub HNL for an evening of stories, impact, art, and learning focused around enivronmental sustianabilty with two incredible speakers and and an interactive art experience:

  • PAUL LECOMTE IS PROJECT MANAGER OF THE SWIM, AN EXPEDITION ESCORTING LONG DISTANCE SWIMMER BEN LECOMTE ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN. FROM JAPAN TO HAWAII, THE SWIM CREW HAVE BEEN COLLECTING SAMPLES FOR OCEANIC RESEARCH AND RAISING AWARENESS ON PLASTIC POLLUTION WHILE SHARING THEIR STORY ON SEEKER AND DISCOVERY CHANNEL. PAUL WILL SHARE THE BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE EXPEDITION, THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH WILDLIFE IN AN ENVIRONMENT CONTAMINATED WITH PLASTIC, AS WELL AS THEIR PLANS FOR THEIR NEXT ADVENTURE.   • AS A NATGEO EDUCATOR FELLOW, DANIEL KINZER RECENTLY COMPLETED AN EXPEDITION TO ANTARCTICA TO SEE FIRSTHAND THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE ANTARCTIC REGION.DANIEL IS A LEARNING ECOLOGIST, BIOMIMIC, ADVENTURER, EXPLORER, AND EDUCATOR COMMITTED TO CO-CREATING A FUTURE WHERE ALL OF LIFE CAN THRIVE ON OUR BLUE PLANET. DANIEL HOPES WE CAN ALL MOVE TO A LEARNING-CENTERED, CIRCULAR, NATURE-INSPIRED WORLD WHERE WE ARE ALL INDIGENOUS.

The evening will feature talks from each of the speakers' journeys, a conversation between the leaders, and a small group interactive discussion.
