Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

Ka Wahi a Hāui sits on a one-acre plot in Pālolo Valley, where we hope to provide a plethora of Native Hawaiian species to cultural practioners in Hawaiian communities. This community workday will be focused on removing invasive California Cane Grass, which prevents our native species from thriving as well as outplanting native species. We have the necessary tools and equipment to remove these invasives, but we do ask to bring your own work gloves, if you have them. There is an optional one-hour lāʻau lapaʻau workshop where we will teach you a medicinal herb recipe, and a potluck lunch.
