Nā Hua Ho'ohuli i ka Pono Internship Program (NHHP) was created in 2016 and is funded by Hau'oli Mau Loa Foundation, a private Honolulu-based grant making organization. The program works in partnership with local conservation agencies and Kupu, an established non-profit organization that works statewide to link youth with conservation organizations to gain year-round hands-on experience.
We will have two positions for our Spring 2018 term with the following agencies:
Maui Invasive Species Committee
Maui Nui Botanical Gardens
Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project
This 16-week program will run from January 22, 2018- May 11, 2018. Interns will work 19 hours per week and earn a bi-weekly living allowance of $475.00 before taxes. They are also eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,230.69 to apply towards higher education expenses, including tuition, books, and student loans.
