Hawaiʻi Island
Duties includes assistance in coordinating TMA Student Education Programs (field and classroom based), Community Events (fairs, parades, open houses), Teacher Education Program (workshops), and Community Outreach Events (fairs, parades, open houses).
Programs place an emphasis on Hawaiian culture, history, resource management and the preservation of Hawaii’s native diversity.
Programs often take place in the field, demonstrating and participating in natural resource management activities.
Field-based activities require involve hiking over moderately rugged terrain, carrying heavy packs and equipment, and potentially working in inclement weather. Work often occurs on weekends and after normal business hours.
