Title: KMWP Outreach & Education Assistant

Position Description:
The KMWP Outreach & Education Assistant is an integral part of the support team of KMWP. The intern will assist with public education and outreach efforts, working closely with KMWP Community Outreach Liaison (supervisor) to raise public awareness of natural resources management issues on Oahu. KMWP works across landowner boundaries to eliminate threats to the watershed, such as habitat-modifying weeds and ungulates using a combination of adaptive management strategies, established conservation practices, and education to public stakeholders.
This internship will offer time in the office, at public presentation sites (schools, fairs, etc), and restoration field sites. The intern can expect to spend 30-50% of their time outdoors at our restoration sites, tending to plants in the shade house, and assisting in the seed garden at the office. The intern should expect to report to the office, except for special virtual training and other unique work circumstances.
