What: The Lyon Arboretum Education Department would like to invite your children to join us for our nature camp to learn, explore, and create in the Mānoa rainforest! This summer our theme is “Fun in the Jungle,” and we will incorporate an array of activities including, but not limited to, science experiments, nature-based art and craft projects, hiking throughout our gardens and forests, and gardening in our Children’s Garden.
We hope that the experiences your child has at our nature camp help to foster a positive relationship with the environment and each other, and the idea that each of us can explore, learn in and enjoy nature — while also being good stewards of its natural resources. It promises to be two weeks of fun-filled learning and adventure that your child will always remember!
When: This summer we will be offering two weeks of camp. Each week will be unique, and children can sign up to attend one or both weeks.
Who: This year’s Summer camp is open to children that will be entering grades K-7, who can meet the following criteria:
