Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Windward Community College (WCC), and National Science Foundation (NSF), Tribal College and Universities Program (TCUP), Partnerships for Geoscience Education (PAGE), Halau Ola Honua Project, located in Kaneohe, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.
MINIMUM MONTHLY SALARY: $2,501/Mon.
DUTIES: Maintains accurate record keeping system and database on behalf of Principal Investigator. Under direct supervision of NSF TCUP PAGE Principal Investigator, assists with developing, organizing, implementing and evaluation of project needs and progress. Assists with project documentation and data collection for grant reporting and evaluation. Provides monthly reports on grant fiscal and objective progress. Works to maintain timeliness of objectives and activities, including meeting with staff to assess progress and action plan. Assists in travel and purchasing requisitions, including creation, process oversight and final reporting. Assists in employee timesheet management. Maintains records and appointments related to grant. Assists with the planning and execution of campus events related to NSF TCUP PAGE. Works in consultation, coordination, and collaboration with relevant offices at WCC and the collaborating institutions (UHM, HonCC, KauaiCC). Accurately represents the mission, programs, and policies of the university to external and internal constituencies. Remains current in all UH system-wide online fiscal and student portals and integrated system for success. Communicates with project staff and outside constituencies on topics related to program implementation including fiscal reporting, student progress, grant objective and timeline tracking, and other areas.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. EXPERIENCE: One to three (1-3) years of experience in a higher education setting, which includes serving Native Hawaiian students and/or STEM students. Experience with project or grant project coordination. Experience with grants management and reporting. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS: Functional knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques in project documentation and reporting. Excellent interpersonal, communication, oral, and written skills. Ability to write reports. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in designing, managing and implementing programs for mentoring, tutoring and advising tailored to low-income Native Hawaiian students of traditional college ages.
