The Keauhou Bird Conservation Center (KBCC) is seeking a dynamic team leader to oversee daily operations and activities on Hawai‘i Island. The non-profit KBCC has been breeding and releasing endangered Hawaiian birds for 20 years, and plays a key role in the upcoming ‘alalā reintroduction.

Responsibilities of this position include all aspects of managing the team, including scheduling, hiring, training, and supervising staff, interns, and volunteers. Activities conducted by the KBCC team include bird care and breeding, veterinary care, upkeep and maintenance of the facility and equipment, and leading groups on tours of the facility in Volcano.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in an animal-related field (e.g. Biology), have previously managed a team of more than six members, and have previously overseen project operations and facilities.
