Job Summary:
Teach graduates course(s) in the MA in Global Leadership and Sustainable Development program. Plan, coordinate, and supervise semester activities that meet course objectives, maintain records on and evaluate student performance, and assign grades. Maintain a productive, positive, and respectful learning environment for students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a field related to Global Leadership and Sustainable Development (such as sustainability, natural sciences, natural resource management, economics, anthropology, geography, urban planning, engineering, environmental policy, environmental science or studies, environmental/public health, green business management, etc.).
- 1-3 years professional experience in the sustainability field OR 1-3 years' experience teaching university students in a diverse environment OR a combination of both.
- Demonstrated skills in systems thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Able to teach classes scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Able to teach classes at multiple locations on Oahu.
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctorate (or other terminal degree) in a field related to Global Leadership and Sustainable Development (see above).
- 3-5 years professional experience in the sustainability field OR 3-5 years teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level OR a combination of both.
- Demonstrated skills in systems thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
