Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

We are currently recruiting applicants for a year-long internship at Haleakala National Park to work on a research project focused on the effects of climate change on silverswords. The intern will be supervised by UH faculty member, Paul Krushelnycky and NPS Internship Coordinator, Kuhea Paracuelles.

We are looking for candidates who are:

1) Hawai'i residents. 2) Recent college graduates with a degree in botany, ecology, environmental science, or a related field. Current college seniors must be working towards a degree in one of the aforementioned fields. 3) Available full-time between September-December 2013. Note: This is the first phase of this position. Our intention is to fund a full year with funds from Hau'oli Mau Loa Foundation. So...We would prefer candidates who are interested in working with us from September 2013-August 2014. 4) able to provide their own transportation to/from the park. Neighbor island candidates will be provided with park housing.

This position comes with a Living Allowance of $280 per week and eligibility for an AmeriCorps Educational Award.
