The Honolulu Zoological Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to support the Honolulu Zoo and its mission, to educate the public about the importance of wildlife and conservation issues and to assist with providing financial support for the needed repairs and capital improvements to the Honolulu Zoo through fundraising efforts. HZS is responsible for Membership, Education, Volunteer, and Conservation programs in close collaboration with the Zoo Director.
The Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director (ED) for the Society. The ED is responsible to coordinate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures consistent with the mission of the Society, including long range planning and evaluation of programs, business operations, Board committee participation and governmental and community relations.
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a minimum of seven years of responsible experience in management. Excellent communicator with various constituencies and able to work with people at various levels including, Boards, governmental agencies, Zoo employees and others.
