Become part of Hawaii’s conservation story

If you love Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and want to help preserve it without leading tours or doing extensive field work, this opportunity may be for you (if do you want to do those other things please contact me for additional opportunities).

If you want to help Hawaii's youth understand the importance of conservation and engage in meaningful careers and have time to give you will love this diverse opportunity to make a difference.

I am looking for one skilled person willing to assist with various important aspects of the Youth and Volunteer programs at the park.

Duties will include: tracking volunteer hours using established methods in Microsoft Excel, processing documents for youth and volunteer applicants, participating in various recognition events and creating new opportunities for youth and volunteers to connect to Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.

This opportunity can be tailored to fit your specific skill set. There is a great deal of flexibility with the duties based on your passion and desire. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, comments or suggestions.

Areas in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park can have high concentrations of sulfur dioxide. Safety is our top priority and there are several effective ways we deal with this threat but it is possible that you will temporarily be exposed to fumes as we move to clear air.
