You will serve as a specialist in invasive species and disease. Working under the direction of the Pacific Islands Invasive Species Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating with State and Federal quarantine services (Hawai’i Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture), research and monitoring entities (U.S. Geological Survey, University of Hawai’i, Hawai’i Department of Health), the Coordinating Group on Alien Pest Species (CGAPS, a multi-partner/stakeholder working group), island invasive species working groups, non-governmental conservation groups, and individual researchers and importers interested in bringing non-indigenous plants or animals into the Pacific Islands Ecoregion.
