In cooperation with the HCAF Executive Director, the HCA Effective Conservation Program (ECP) Project Coordinator will work to ensure the timely and effective delivery of the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation funded project titled “Promise to the Pae ‘aina: Sharing and Pooling our Collective Data to Track the Health of Our Ahupua‘a. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the many aspects of the project, focusing particularly on managing the grant, ensuring activities occur according to the projected timelines, coordinating project activities and liaising with contractors, HCA members, community entities and other relevant stakeholders. The coordinator will also provide staff support to the HCA Effective Conservation Program Subcommittee by coordinating meetings, note taking, and tracking action items. We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated and passionate individual who has a proven track record in multi-faceted project coordination, experience working with communities to move natural resource management forward and familiarity with GIS applications. The incumbent should work well with little oversight, excel in teams, is web savvy and strongly interested in advancing the project goals. Excellent verbal, writing and public speaking skills are a must. Grants management, facilitation skills, and demonstrated project management experience required.
