Financial Controller

The Kohala Center seeks a full-time Financial Controller based out of our Waimea office on Hawai‘i Island. The Controller will assist with the management of The Kohala Center’s accounting and financial planning, analysis reporting, and financial operations in all programs, contracts, and grants. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting is required; CPA or MBA a plus. A minimum of five years of experience in financial management, preferably in nonprofit or educational environments; knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and not-for-profit requirements. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems as well as federal and state financial regulations is also required.
