Under the general supervision of the Community Relations Specialist III, this position works to build the capacity of the DUF Community Forestry Program. This position works with various organized non-profit groups, City and County of Honolulu agencies, State of Hawai`i agencies, community groups, and volunteers to facilitate their role as change agents collectively working towards the common goal of improving the overall health of the urban forest.
License Requirement:
Possess and maintain a valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License, Type 3.
Special Work Requirements:
Required to perform work after hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to represent DUF at Neighborhood Board meetings, City Council hearings, various community group meetings, for special events and projects island-wide, and emergencies. May serve as a Disaster Response Worker during declared emergencies.
