Description of Opportunity

The Natural Resources and Environmental Management Department (NREM) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM) seeks a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track instructor to support the social science aspects of our interdisciplinary undergraduate program. The individual will teach 5-6 courses per year (18 credits), including both NREM core courses and NREM required electives. The individual will advise NREM undergraduate majors pursuing social science specializations (6 credit equivalent). NREM is a dynamic department consisting of faculty from diverse disciplines dedicated to applying science to solve societal problems. NREM is a steadily growing department for students passionate about preserving, conserving and managing natural resources and the environment. The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, a vibrant, culturally diverse community that offers unprecedented opportunities for outdoor activities, as well as a lively urban environment.
