OVERVIEW
Kupu, Hawai‘i’s leading conservation and environmental education nonprofit, is looking for individuals to take part in the upcoming ‘Āina and Innovation Workforce Hawaiʻi (AIWH) program. This program provides three temporary employment opportunities for those who are interested in exploring environmental and agricultural related work. Positions are available with Kupu’s partner sites organizations and agencies state-wide. Each site offers unique positions in their area of specialty, including ornithology, botany, natural and aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agriculture and more!
The key objective of the ‘Āina & Innovation program is to provide paid, part or full time career building employment opportunities for those who are furloughed, unemployed, or underemployed due to COVID-19. In addition to financial benefits, participants are eligible to receive a fully paid semester at Arizona State University through the 'Kupu Pathways' initiative.
Program participants will gain invaluable field experience, relevant certifications and have the opportunity to network with conservation & in the field experts. Simultaneously, participants will develop personal skills in the areas of leadership, organization, and decision-making while having the unique chance to serve the environment in some of the worlds most stunning natural locations Hawai'i has to offer.
