You will serve as the FOIA, Adminstrative Records, and FishNet/TAILS program manager for the Pacific Islands Fish and Wildlife Office. Performing work independently to shape the direction of the programs. Coordinate FOIA responses from initial phase to appeal phase, which includes receiving FOIA requests directly, determining their sufficiency and relevancy, and whether the office has the requested records; searching records and files for requested information; compiling, organizing, and forwarding information from requests to appropriate areas for action; reviewing records compiled by others and proposed denials; determining releasability of documents and requesting and tracking Solicitor concurrence; determining what information should be withheld, redacted, and released; and preparing responses to requesters and advising them of any findings of denial and their appeal rights. Responsible for the administrative and support functions of the office and accountable for the supervision of the administrative staff, which ranges from 4 to 6 employees. These functions include travel, initiating and submitting personnel actions, timekeeping, records, and other administrative support. Responsible for the office's personnel management. This includes ensuring personnel actions are initiated and submitted to Human Resources with all required supporting documents; assisting with selection packages; onboarding of new employees; processing time and attendance reports; ensuring mandatory trainings are identified and completed on time; monitoring employee records to ensure required personnel actions are submitted in a timely manner e.g., promotions, extensions of appointment, termination of appointment, etc.
