The National Tropical Botanical Garden is currently seeking 2 Full Time Conservation Technicians to be based at Limahuli Garden and Preserve.

 

These positions will be working on a team for a contract to restore lowland riparian habitat in the Lower Preserve of Limahuli Garden and Preserve.  Job duties are focused primarily on planting native plants, monitoring stream plant and wildlife conditions, and removing invasive plants.


The terrain is very rocky, muddy, and uneven.  Weather is variable between heavy rain and direct sun exposure.  Work is done in all conditions.  Worksite must be hiked to daily.


Must have relevant experience and be able to pass a field test and pre-employment drug screening.

 

Contract-funded temporary positions: One for 1.5 years, one for 2 years.
