Applications are being accepted for a Research Assistant to conduct data collection, entry, and analysis for endangered Hawaiian birds at the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center in Volcano, Hawai‘i. This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to contribute to meaningful conservation efforts while gaining research experience.

The successful applicant will assist a Postdoctoral Associate with research activities relating to conservation breeding, husbandry and reintroduction science. Responsibilities may include: collecting and recording behavioral data; entering and organizing data; conducting quality control of data; and contributing to analysis and writing.

The successful candidate will have at least one of the following qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in any of the biological sciences, preferably with coursework in animal behavior and statistics; previous experience conducting observations on animals; courses taken or experience working with statistics. The successful candidate will need to have a valid drivers license and be in good standing with the DMV, and have the ability to identify diverse colored identification tags on birds.
